“Didier Jordan remains undeterred in his approach of a remote place, unbiased by the history of Petra. It is where the photographer provokes the breach in this paradox of silent stone: between the scene and the film unfolds a journey of traces, holes and interstices, capturing it's unique beauty, the entire visual field - Without any hierarchy, without any perspective. Human traces and erosion of time made and unmade forms, rocks and stones, sculpture and architecture. Even at present, the horse without a head is petrified in the rock, dust blending into the scenery like an architectural relief. All these indices are contracted and dilated in the scope of the photographer eye. Leaving only a fingerprint.”
